CentreCOM MX10

The CentreCOM MX10 (also known as AT-MX10) is a micro transceiver for 10Base-2 networks, developed by Allied Telesis. This device enables the connection between an Ethernet network and devices equipped with an AUI (Attachment Unit Interface) port, allowing communication over 10Base-2 (Thin Ethernet) coaxial cabling.

• Jabber Lock-Up Prevention – A protection mechanism that prevents network disruptions caused by malfunctioning devices that continuously transmit signals.
• Loopback Function – Simulates the transmission medium to verify the proper operation of the network connection.

The CentreCOM MX10 connects directly to the AUI port of a network card or other device and provides a BNC connector for 10Base-2 coaxial cabling. This solution was commonly used in older Ethernet networks to integrate devices into coaxial topologies.
